Islam is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion that appears on the seventh century. And the prophet of Islam is Muhammad (Muhammed, Mohammad) and is the last prophet sent by God to the Human kind 1,400 years ago. Sources of belief and practice:
The sacred scripture and first source of learning of Islam is the Quran, which contains God's revelations to Muhammad. The sayings and deeds of the Prophet recounted in the sunna are also an important source of belief and practice in Islam. The fundamental concept in Islam is the Shariah, or sacred Law, which embraces the total way of life commanded by God.

Concept of God:
Islam's fundamental belief concept is "tawhid": the belief that there is no God but Allah. The Arabic term for God is Allah.
Allah is the personal name of the One True God. Nothing else can be called Allah. The term "Allah" has no plural or gender. When compared with the word "God" which can be made plural: Gods, or feminine Goddess, this shows its uniqueness . Allah is also the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic. The One true God is a reflection of the unique concept that Islam associates with God.

There are between 1.2 billion to 1.8 billion Muslims, making Islam the second-largest religion in the world, after Christianity and about 24% of all people on Earth follow Islam.
